DROVERS DINNERS
2-3 October
Times: 5pm – 7pm & 7:30pm – 9pm
Cost: $75pp
Enjoy an authentic two-hour camp oven dining experience in our festival marquee. The delicious two-course buffet features hearty favourites including Beef Stew (GF) and Curried Chicken (GF), served with damper, rice or gluten free bread options. This is followed by your choice of comforting desserts including Apple Crumble, or Sticky Date Pudding with caramel sauce (GFO), served with homemade custard (LF, GF), and tea or coffee. Gather with family and friends and enjoy great food, great company and our vibrant festival atmosphere.
The Drovers Dinner is an 18+ event. Drinks not included and can be purchased separately from the bar.
COOKING WORKSHOPS
Whether you’re a seasoned camp oven cook or novice, our hands-on cooking workshops are a fun and delicious way to learn traditional bush cooking techniques. Guided by experienced camp oven cooks, you’ll discover the secrets to creating everything from the perfect damper and fluffy scones to hearty camp oven meals, sweet vanilla cake and classic golden syrup dumplings. Roll up your sleeves and take home new skills, recipes and memories to recreate around your own campfire.
Two Course Meal
2 & 3 October
Time: 3pm-5pm
Cost: $75pp
Roll up your sleeves and enjoy a hands-on camp oven cooking experience. Create your own delicious 2-course meal with your choice of a roast or wet dish and dessert.
Two camp ovens are required for this workshop. Participants must supply camp ovens and ingredients and wear closed in shoes.

Damper Making
3 October

Experience the tradition of camp oven cooking with our Damper Making Workshop. Get involved, learn the basics and create your own delicious damper from scratch, cooked the traditional way in a camp oven.

Vanilla Cake Making

Enjoy a hands-on camp oven experience and learn how to bake a delicious vanilla cake from scratch, cooked the traditional way in a camp oven.

Scone Making

Learn the art of camp oven baking and create your own delicious homemade scones, cooked the traditional way in a camp oven.

Golden Syrup Dumpling Workshop

Create your own delicious Golden Syrup Dumplings and discover the magic of a traditional camp oven dessert.

Hearty Lunch

Time: 11am-12pm

Enjoy a hearty lunch experience and learn traditional cooking techniques. Create your own meat wet dish in a camp oven while cooking over coals.

CREATIVE WORKSHOPS
Discover your creative side with our hands-on workshops, where you can learn traditional skills and craft something truly unique to take home. Guided by talented artisans and makers, you’ll have the opportunity to try everything from leather working, woodworking and whip plaiting to jewellery making, wire sculpture, needle felting and more. Whether you’re keen to master a new skill or simply enjoy a creative experience, these workshops are a wonderful way to immerse yourself in country craftsmanship and create something you’ll treasure long after the festival ends.

Wooden Spoon Making Workshop

Join Matt for a hands-on introduction to the craft of spoon carving and create your own wooden spoon to take home. Learn safe carving techniques, knife sharpening, preparatory axe work and timber finishing methods.
