GETTING HERE – OUR PLANNING GUIDE FOR ACOF 24
Joining us for ACOF 2024? We’ve popped together some tips and FAQs (that’s Frequently Asked Questions if you weren’t sure) that will help you best prepare for your visit. Happy reading, safe travels and we look forward to welcoming you soon!
Before You Head Off For ACOF
Plan ahead
Millmerran is a tiny township and we don’t have shops that are open 24 hours a day so it pays to be prepared prior to heading off.
Our pharmacy and food stores might not have all the medications and food products that are available in other larger towns so if you have something that you particularly need, we highly recommend you bring those items with you – particularly medications!
We also advise to plan ahead with clothing. Spring on the Darling Downs can sometimes mean four seasons in one day! Come prepared for warm to hot days and cool to cold nights.
If you are a light sleeper, you might also want to pack earplugs. Campsites near the festival stage areas may hear music from the festival precinct at night. Fellow campers and volunteers may also be moving around the site during the day and night, so best to be prepared!
Mobile phone coverage in Millmerran can also be limited. Telstra and Optus are the most reliable signals.
Have more planning questions? Be sure to read our FAQs here.
Camping Onsite
Our campsites are pre-sold so hopefully you have booked by now! We do have a limited number of campsites that are available between now and the event due to cancellations. If you are still looking for a campsite, we suggest checking our campsite booking portal here.
Please make sure you are familiar with our camping rules before you arrive onsite.
When To Arrive
You can arrive at the Showgrounds in the week leading up to the festival. In fact, we encourage you too as the Millmerran community has a great week of events, tours and activities planned.
Please click here to see what’s on across the week prior to the festival.
Once you do arrive at the showgrounds, we will aim to get you into your campsite as soon as possible but it definitely makes it easier for us if you have your tickets ready to be scanned. We can scan from your mobile device too.
