In addition to our famous Camp Oven Cooking Competition, our festival is also home to a number of FUN & INTERESTING novelty competitions.
PHOTOGRAPHIC COMPETITION
Calling all photography enthusiasts!
We invite you to send us your favourite photos with the theme of – “It’s that time of the day”
Great prizes on offer –Adults and Children’s sections.
Adults – 1st $150 2nd $90 3rd $60
Children’s -1st $50 2nd $30 3rd $20
Think of unique places, people, food or utensils that are part of “that time of the day“. Get creative!
You can send your digital copy OR print a copy of the pic (6” x 4”) and send it to our office. Maximum of 2 photos per person.
Photos will be put on display at the festival and winners announced then.
Entries close early, so submit your entry by September 15th so we have time to judge them all.

decorated billy competition
Your Billy can be an old tin can like a large Milo or fruit tin size. Add a wire handle and you have a Billy to decorate!
Decorate your Billy using anything you like – painted, decoupage, pressed flowers, recycled materials And the list goes on…
Get creative and have fun

ONE SHOT DAMPER COOKING COMPETITION
Join in this fast-paced Damper Cooking Competition where you only get One Shot at taking home the prize.

Entry Fee: Adult: $10 & Under 17/Children: $10
Competition is limited to 10 entrants per round.
Prize Money: Adults – 1st $100 & Under 17/Children – 1st $50
Competition Rounds: Saturday 5th October: 8:30am – 10am & 1pm – 2:30pm
Sunday 6th October: 9am – 10:30am
Winners will be announced on Sunday 6th October at the festival and will be contacted via email or mobile
DAMPER THROWING COMPETITION
Try your hand at throwing the specially made dampers as far as you can!
We have entry categories for men’s, ladies, juniors 8yrs to 11yrs, 12yrs to 15yrs and children up to 8yrs with great prizes on offer.
Nominate at the festival for your chance to win!
BILLY BOILING SPEED COMPETITION
You will be given a billy, a few matches and some kindling. The first to get their billy to the boil is the winner!
We offer categories for adults and juniors under 15yrs
(with parental consent).
