Check your towing weights to pave the way for a safe and stress free trip. Unsure about your limits? Click here for more information from our friends at RACQ.
Plan your route
Plan your route and stop every few hours. Find a Drivers Reviver Stop here.
Check road conditions in advance here.
Please check BOM before heading to the festival. We recommend downloading the BOM app to your phone.
Stock up on your medications
Millmerran is a tiny township and while we have great coffee and shops, our pharmacy and food stores may not have all the products that are available in larger towns. So if you have something specific that you need, we highly recommend that you bring those items with you – particularly medications!
Follow us on Facebook
In the event of any site or program changes, we will share information as need via our Facebook page. Make sure you follow us here.

Saturday camping entry is from 7:00am to 10:00am via Gate 1 only.
Please follow the directions of festival staff and volunteers during the check in process.
Site access information
On arrival, festival staff will place a wristband on each camper and a vehicle sticker on the vehicle as part of the check in process. Your wristband must remain on for the duration of your stay.
Your vehicle sticker must remain displayed on your registered vehicle for the duration of your stay and until you have departed the camping grounds for the final time.
Important Information For Friday Arrivals
More than 500 caravans and campers are expected to arrive on Friday, so this will be our busiest arrival day. Please pack your patience and be respectful of our volunteers and fellow campers while everyone is checked in and settled.
Campers should follow the directions of festival staff and volunteers on arrival.
Please have drinking water and some snacks in your vehicle in case there is a wait to enter the grounds. Having camping and festival entry tickets ready for scanning will help keep things moving.
Campsites
Campsites are pre-marked – you must remain within your allocated space. All camping equipment must remain within your site.
Camping Exit Times
All campers must have departed the Millmerran Showgrounds by 12:00 midday on Monday 5 October.
Monday morning will be busy with campers packing up and departing the grounds. Please allow plenty of time to pack up and leave safely.
Please follow the directions of festival staff and volunteers when departing.
Vehicles:
One vehicle is permitted at your campsite. All additional vehicles must be parked across the road in the designated overflow car park. Please follow the directions of festival staff and volunteers when parking your vehicle.
Tickets:
All campers require a weekend festival pass in addition to their camping booking. Children under 17 are free, however they still require a weekend entry ticket. Both camping and festival entry tickets should be ready for scanning on arrival.
WHILE AT THE FESTIVAL:
Please ensure you are across the below rules and conditions.
Alcohol
Alcohol can be brought from home and consumed responsibly at your campsite area but cannot be brought into the festival site.
Given the close proximity of other campers, we ask that any alcohol consumption is moderate and not accompanied by excessive noise. Those not respecting the needs of fellow campers will be asked to cease consumption.
Alcohol purchased within the licensed bar must remain within the designated licensed area and cannot be taken outside the fenced area.
Many of our festival attendees choose to take advantage of the local pub and tavern in walking distance to the festival, where you can enjoy a cold beer, great food and the company of locals and fellow travellers.
ATM
A mobile ATM will be available onsite over the festival weekend.
Campfires
NO FIRES and NO OPEN FLAMES are permitted in the camping areas. This includes campfires, firepits or braziers and OzPigs.
Due to the current high fire risk and the potential for further fire restrictions, this rule will be strictly enforced.
Only festival approved areas are permitted to have fires.
Dogs
Dogs are welcome; however, they must be kept on a lead at all times and cannot be left unattended at campsites. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs.
Dogs are not permitted in food areas. Campers are asked not to bring dogs that are not comfortable in crowds or around other dogs.
Dump Points
The showgrounds dump point is available for use from Monday to Thursday. The dump point will be closed from 11:00 am Friday until 10:00 am Saturday.
E bikes and E scooters
E bikes and E scooters are not permitted to be ridden anywhere on the premises at any time. This does not include mobility scooters.
Contacting Us During The Festival
For general festival and camping enquiries, please call 0429 727 503. We encourage campers to check the Australian Camp Oven Festival’s FAQs page or Facebook page for the latest information and updates before calling where possible.
For a legitimate emergency onsite, please call 0455 404 013. The emergency contact number is for legitimate emergencies ONLY and must not be used for general festival or camping enquiries.
Drones
Due to the nearby airport and helicopter operating during the festival weekend, drones are strictly prohibited.
Food During the Week
There will be no food stalls onsite until Friday evening, so campers arriving earlier in the week will need to come prepared.
We encourage campers to head into Millmerran and support our local food venues during the week. Local options include The Mill Inn Tavern, The Sundowner, The Local Millmerran, Forage Kitchen and Coffee Bar, Millmerran Bakery and Millmerran BP.
Please keep in mind that some cafes and takeaway venues may not be open for dinner, so we recommend checking opening hours before heading into town.
Food stalls will begin operating onsite from Friday evening. A variety of food will then be available throughout the festival weekend.
Generators
Generators are permitted in the unpowered camping areas. Generators may only be operated between 8:00 am and 9:00 pm.
Getting Around
The Millmerran Showgrounds are approximately 3 km from the Millmerran township.
Thanks to the Millmerran Commerce and Progress Inc. a courtesy bus will operate between the showgrounds and Millmerran during the week leading up to the festival and over the festival weekend.
People movers will operate around the festival grounds over the weekend to assist people with mobility difficulties.
The showground has dirt and gravel pathways and some uneven areas, so campers should come prepared for showground conditions.
Grey Water
Grey water does not need to be collected; however, your grey water cannot run into neighbouring campsites. Please use our designated dump points for all other waste matter.
Information Tent
Our Information Tent is the place to go for any questions or assistance during your stay. You can also register for the Billy Boiling, Damper Throwing and One Shot Damper Competitions at the Information Tent.
Our friendly volunteers will be available to help with festival information, directions and general enquiries.
If you need assistance while at the festival, look for one of our volunteers or crew in their blue Bushells hats.
Leaving and Re entry
Campers can leave and re-enter the grounds during the week via Gate 1. Your wristband will be required for re-entry.
Your vehicle sticker must remain displayed on your vehicle for the duration of your stay and until you have departed the camping grounds for the final time.
The speed limit throughout the camping grounds is 10 km/hr. Please drive slowly and take extra care around pedestrians, children and other campers.
Please follow the directions of festival staff and volunteers when entering or leaving the grounds.
Medication and First Aid
If you take regular medication, please remember to bring enough with you for your stay, as our local pharmacy may not always have your specific medication readily available. A First Aid Tent will be located onsite during the festival, with first aid assistance available if needed.
Mobile Phone Coverage
Mobile phone coverage can be limited in Millmerran, particularly with the large number of people onsite.
Telstra generally provides the best mobile coverage in the area. Campers should download or print their tickets before arriving rather than relying on accessing them online at the gate.
Rubbish
Wheelie bins are located throughout the camping and festival grounds. Please use the bins provided and help us keep the showgrounds clean and tidy throughout your stay
Toilets and Showers
Toilets and showers are available across the site. These are basic showground facilities and there may be queues during peak periods, particularly in the mornings and late afternoons.
Water
Millmerran has had very little rain and conditions are extremely dry.
Water is available onsite; however, we ask all campers to please be mindful of their water usage during their stay.
Please conserve water wherever possible and avoid unnecessary water use.
Water taps are located throughout the grounds and may be some distance from individual campsites.
The water is treated town water and is safe to drink.
Our Genex Hydration Station will operate over the weekend allowing you to refill water bottles and drink containers.
Weather and Conditions
Conditions are currently very dry due to the lack of rain. Early spring weather on the Darling Downs can also be unpredictable.
Campers should come prepared for hot and dusty conditions during the day as well as cool or cold evenings.
